A small, warm, lay-led place for davening, singing and welcoming the Shabbat together.
We meet for Kabbalat Shabbat in a heimish setting, following traditional Modern Orthodox Jewish minhag.
Our hope is to build a sincere and steady makom tefillah in the Channel Islands: sincere davening, warm company and the simple grace of welcoming Shabbat together.
Visitors are welcome. Participation is valued. Presence matters.
Shtiebel is a Yiddish word meaning "little room" or "little house" - a small, intimate place of Jewish prayer and gathering.
A shtiebel is heimish by nature: personal, unpretentious and shaped by shared responsibility. People are known. Participation matters. The atmosphere is informal, but the davening is taken seriously.
Historically, shtiebelach offered accessibility and constancy: a place to walk in, find a minyan and feel at home. Our hope is to foster something of that spirit here in the Channel Islands.
We follow traditional Modern Orthodox Jewish minhag in a lay-led setting, with warm singing, kavod for tefillah and room for sincere participation.
We are striving to build a monthly Kabbalat Shabbat minyan.
We would be very glad to welcome you.
After davening, guests are invited to stay for a simple kiddush meal.
Dates will be updated as needed. Notice will be given in advance.

In time, we hope to hold Shabbat morning events on Shabbat Mevorchim, Rosh Chodesh and the chagim.
Further details will follow as the minyan grows.
Visitors are warmly welcome.
